About Indiana Baptist FoundationThe Foundation was founded in 1967 by the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana as a Trust Agency for the State Convention, Associations, Member Churches, and Members of our Baptist Churches. As a Trust Agency, the Foundation offers investment management services to the State Convention, Associations, and Member Churches. The Foundation is also charged with the responsibility of encouraging and administering gifts and bequests through wills and trusts from Indiana Baptists. These gifts and bequests provide financial assistance to causes, agencies, and institutions sanctioned by the Southern Baptist Convention, State Baptist Convention of Indiana, Indiana Associations, and/or a Member Church. The encouraging process is done by offering an educational program to Member Churches and their membership. The educational program includes Christian Financial Management" and "Christian Estate Planning" special emphasis Sundays. The Foundation also encourages by training "Christian Financial Counselors" , providing personal estate planning assistance, and providing Christian financial planning services to members. Purpose StatementThe Indiana Baptist Foundation is a corporation chartered by the State of Indiana in 1967 as Trust Agency of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana. The Foundation is charged with the task of managing funds deposited with it by individuals and churches. It also provides education in the areas of financial and estate planning and makes loans to churches. The Foundation offers to Indiana Baptists and their friends, opportunities to make eternal investments in carrying out the “Great Commission” until our Lord returns.
