Dr. Blake Newsome

Blake currently serves as Associate Professor of Expository Preaching and the Director of the Caskey Center for Church Excellence at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he previously served as Dean of the Chapel. Prior to returning to NOBTS, Blake served as Senior Pastor at Dauphin Way Baptist Church, Mobile, AL. Blake has three children (Judson, Levi, and Nehemiah) with his wife, Brooke. God has given Blake a passion for preaching His Word so that lives are transformed, the Church is revived, and the world is confronted with the power and grace of God.

Chuck Lofton

Chuck Lofton has been a part of 13News Sunrise on WTHR-TV since the very first show in September of 1985. For decades, families, students and Hoosiers of every walk of life have started their day with his forecasts. He is also a part of Indiana morning radio. Winner of 16 regional Emmy awards the past 5 years, he has also been honored nationally by the Society of Professional Journalists, the Associated Press and the Indiana Broadcasters Association.

A frequent speaker to churches, schools and civic organizations, he was named Prodigy of Indianapolis for community service. He has been a “Master of Ceremonies” in Central Indiana for more than 30 years for organizations including the American Heart Association, Noble Centers, the Eiteljorg Museum, Overseas Council, Damar Centers, Hope Healthcare Services and many more. He has hosted the “Good News Open” for over 25 years, an event that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the downtown Good News Mission. He now serves as the Voice of The 500 Festival Parade and emcees the annual Indianapolis Prayer Breakfast.

Chuck graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and in 2010 was named an honorary alumnus of Taylor University and in 2016 received a Presidential Citation from Indiana Wesleyan University. He grew up in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, a Chicago suburb on the north shore. He and his wife Mary Lou have three sons, Timothy, Paul and Phillip and daughter-in-laws Heidi , Megan and  Courtney. His pride and joy is his granddaughter Charlie.

Worship Leader

Al Davisson

Al has been on the FBCNV staff for over 15 years and currently serves as the primary worship leader, yet takes on some the pastoral care of the flock. He and his wife Shirley have 3 grown children and 2 beautiful grandbabies. Al helps oversee the Deacon ministry to ensure the people of FBCNV are cared for.
