Friday Breakfast, Sponsored by NAMB. NAMB Evangelism Kit Training | Crossover Indy 2024

Join us for a brief training on the new NAMB Evangelism Kit. This resource equips pastors and leaders through a four-phased process to cultivate a culture of evangelism within their church. Then, hear about a practical way to get your people mobilized to share their faith: Crossover Indy 2024. Crossover is an evangelistic outreach before the SBC Annual Meeting where Southern Baptists from across the nation unite to make a gospel impact in the host city of the meeting. With Indianapolis hosting the 2024 meeting, Indiana Baptists have an incredible opportunity to impact that city with the hope of the gospel!

This event is for pastors, leaders, church staff, mission leaders, and their spouses. We hope to see you there!

The SCBI is connecting for Kingdom advancement as they partner with churches to discover and fulfill their next steps. Born in Florida and raised in Maryland in a ministry family, he pastored in Maryland for several years before pastoring a church in Ohio for 12 years. He holds a BS in secondary education from Frostburg State University (Frostburg, MD), an M.Div from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (Cordova, TN), and a D.Min from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY).

He and his wife, Nikki, have five children, with adoption being part of the family’s story.

Greg married Bonita, his Ball State sweetheart, in 1993 and they have 2 married sons and 2 daughters. He enjoys family time, local coffee shops, Buckeyes football and occasional escapes to the beach.

Dr. Ricky Persons

He is the former pastor of Kingwood Southern Baptist Church of Kingwood, WV, where he served for 10 years. Bro. Ricky (as he prefers to be called) loves to preach and teach God’s word from the pulpit and in every realm of ministry and makes the study of the Word a high priority. He states that he preaches to himself and invites whoever will, to listen. He often offers to meet with folks at their table with a cup of coffee or a coke and an open Bible. He is confident that the Spirit of God will use the truth of God’s Word to convince hearers to follow Jesus. The pastor’s life motto is “Helping People Follow Jesus.”
