DESCRIPTION
Student Fusion (grades 6-12) – Athlete, musician, actor, intellectual, You-tuber, gamer, IG influencer… these are common titles that define us today. These titles can lead us to believe that this is what life is all about… but, is that who we really are? We often use “filters” to show a highlight reel of our lives without being truly authentic with our friends and family. Discover what it means to drop these filters and discover your true identity in Christ.
Camp Pastor Week 2
Larry Hyche
Larry is from Alabama, where he serves as a state missionary for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions in the area of men’s discipleship. He is also pursuing a Doctorate of Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Previously, Larry served 20 years in Alabama as student and discipleship pastor. Through serving the local church, he has seen the value of preparing students to enter a spiritually hostile world where deeper faith is critical, making student discipleship one of his favorite things on the planet. Larry speaks and teaches for youth and adult events. He is a big fan of old cars and enjoys photography and sarcasm.
Worship Leader Week 2
Jake Brothers
A graduate of Anderson University, Brothers studied Music Business while leading worship for Campus Crusade for Christ and Open Door ministry. Brothers also traveled the Midwest with a band and sparked interest in performing. Jake’s music style reveals his passion to worship the one true God in a fresh way. With influences of hymns, pop and artists like Chris Tomlin and David Crowder Band, Brothers’ music is noted for its true lyrics that are easy to sing and easily get stuck in your head. Brothers’ has led worship at Student Fusion since 2010!
