Preschoolers, children, and students are a vital, but dependent, part of our churches. It is the desire of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana (SCBI) to provide well-defined security policies creating a hedge of protection for those entrusted in our care. Therefore, SCBI requires the following information to be completed by all leaders in any position involving the supervision of participants at camps, retreats, and events sponsored by SCBI. This will help provide a safe and secure environment for all participants in this ministry. As part of this process, all adult leaders and camp staff will be provided with sexual abuse awareness training through SafeMinistry. This training will be good for three years and you will be provided with a certificate upon completion of this training. The camp is also using software called SafeVisitor through SafeMinistry to run a quick background check on all adults that attend camp by using their driver’s licenses. This does a quick check against the national sex offender registry as well as violent crimes. We understand the confidential nature of this information. All information is kept securely.
