The COVID-19 virus is affecting almost all organizations and businesses. Unfortunately, churches are not exempt from this. While most church leaders are thinking about how to continue to have services and reach their community, many are forgetting about the financial impact closing down will have on their church. Unless your church has an online giving platform, you will need to think through how your congregation can continue to tithe to support the church.

As mentioned, online giving is always an option and there are plenty of vendors out there for you to choose from. There will be some type of costs associated with these platforms. There is however a free option for your congregation to think about. That is bill pay through their bank. Bill pay is a free service that individuals can use. They simply just need to login to their online banking, find the bill pay section and set-up the church as a vendor. The bank will then send a check to the church. This is a simple option for individuals to continue to tithe to the church without any costs.

How to go live on Facebook
Go to the Facebook page you want to go live in (you might need to be an administrator)
1. Go to Create Post
2. Select Go Live (camcorder icon)
3. Write a description for your video.
4. If your page is not public, you may want to change the setting for your video. To do so, tap the three dots (ellipsis) in the top right corner.

Helpful hint: If you want to show your video in widescreen, start the live video with the device set horizontally. You will not be able to turn orientation after you go live.

All SCBI Training and Ministry Events scheduled through May 15 have been canceled.
